Effective Cash Pooling (ECP): Effective Cash Pooling is used for a family of instruments that can be used for customers who hold several accounts with the bank. This allows optimizing the cash streams or interest results within the company by moving cash physically within the accounts that belong to the pooling structure. Effective Cash Pooling is also referred to as Physical Pooling or Cash Concentration or Sweeping.

Combined Settlement: Combined Settlement is a specific variation of the settlement process in SAP S/4 Transaction Banking where the settlement of interest and charges is done on multiple accounts together as defined under the terms and conditions of a Master Contract Arrangement. Charges & Interest Compensation and Bundle Pricing are specific examples of Combined Settlement.

Charges and Interest Compensation: Charges and Interest compensation, also known as notional or margin pooling as well, allows customers to optimize the earned interest across multiple accounts held by the customer. The balances of the participating accounts are summarized virtually according to the chosen compensation method; no real cash movement takes place. Optionally, it is also possible to compensate some settlement charges, what enables a company or a group of companies to obtain lower charges by using economies of scale. CIC is also referred to as Notional Pooling.
